Slip ring overview

  • A brush-type slip ring is a component that enables the transmission of electrical power and signals without twisting the rotating/stationary wires.

  • A. Contact slip ring: Transmission method through contact between the ring and brushes.

    - Brush method: This is the most commonly used method and is used for power transmission and contact signal lights.

    - Wire method: Used for signal transmission at high speeds due to low contact resistance and noise generation.

  • B. It is the best existing slip ring technology that calculates the electrostatic capacitance value of a non-rotating body by leaving a space of about 0.01 to 0.02 mm between the conductor and the brush, receives it from the rotating body, and converts it into an electrical signal.
